It's so fucking cool to have a Pavement song about my hometown on this record: "Zurich Is Stained" - honestly, I don't get the lyrics at all. 😂 But nevermind, the song and this album are bloody perfect! 🤘

But I have another funny story that might make the song lyrics make a little sense. Anyway, a few years ago I was at a Death Cab For Cutie concert at the now sadly closed X-tra club near Limmatplatz in Zurich. Anyway, the band announces that they learned 'Zurich Is Stained' by Pavement especially for tonight. The cheers were frenetic. As always, because the Swiss clap out of politeness, even if they don't understand anything. Anyway, they play the song and.... so not that the band performs the song badly, not at all.... but the audience has no clue what kind of song this is supposed to be. Zurich is stained in a way sometimes. 😂
