A big hooray and farewell greetings from Vinylsmidoc to the vinyl community
Some may know that I have maintained an Instagram profile under the name Vinylsmidoc. Learn more about this little project and why I’m ending it right now.

Vinylsmidoc’s memory lane - part 1
Fun Fact: I’ve never regretted the pleasure.
And it was also a pleasure showing off - I mean, this is way to off —- . - .. — .- but in a way, I’m still proud of it. Remember: no guilty pleasures, dear peace sailors.
So, here are some of my Mac DeMarco collection vinyl porn pics.
It's been a great and wild ride and I have some amazing memories. Okay, some of my old posts are actually so personal that I'm sometimes embarrassed by it now. It’s like reading an old diary of my younger self. But hey, there are no guilty pleasures. If I felt it that way, it was right.
The profile will stay like it is from now on. 🙂
Vinylsmidoc’s memory lane - part 2
I mean, I’ve made some sick #sleeveface ‘s over the time, right?!
This is the end
I did this Insta vinyl thing for over two years from June 2017 on a very regular basis. It was intense and quite an experience. In Summer 2018 Sailng For Peace started and time was very short ever since. By August 2019 I went on a sabbatical with the account and now with Corona it all has been perpetuated.
And it all comes to an end right now. This is the official final piece of the Vinylsmidoc story.
It was an adventurous journey in my role as the first Peace Sailor in the Instagram vinyl universe. I’ve learned a lot and I will always be thankful for that. My commitment, my energy and my action is now 100% on the Sailing For Peace ship. So you don’t have to be sad at all.
Cool vinyl community people, positive initiatives and strong feelings
By connecting with people via Instagram with my channel, I've been able to make a lot of prescious virtual contacts with great spirits from many parts of the globe.
And occasionally there was a photo session with friends and their favorite records. You can see Jan, Sabrina and Moritz here.
It is with pleasure that I present you my personal highlights from the community on Instagram and Youtube in no particular order.
Okay, let’s start this.
The Vinyl Guide Interview
Nate Goyer is The Vinyl Guide and discusses all things music and record-related. Nate is a 40+ year vinyl collector, owns some of the most highly desired titles and enjoys them thoroughly. The Vinyl Guide is his journey through the history of music to speak with the artists and technicians who made music history and get the stories behind the records.
I like to listen to hours of nerd talk.
Vinyl Eyezz
This channel gives away very good beginner tips around collecting vinyl.
Jarrett New is a very likeable guy, the vlog is contemporary and always very entertaining.
Amoeba
Since Corona the XXL record store in the States, physically and online active (they unfortunately still do not deliver to Switzerland), their entertaining ‘What’s In My Bag’ videos come now in in a home edition. Artists present personal favorites. It's a lot of fun and you discover many pearls of music history you might not know. That’s pretty dope!
Some of my favorite Insta profiles are up next.

Following him was the beginning for me and my main inspiration for everything to come.
I’ve learnt about so many great records I didn’t know. And he’s still an important source for me.
And please forgive me, Tore, before clicking the play button. 🎷😉

#9AlbumsThatNeedToBePressed
Remember this trending topic and initiative from February 2018?
What do all of these albums have in common?
Yeah, right! Unfortunately, they were never pressed on vinyl.
So I created a hashtag called #9AlbumsThatNeedToBePressed!

Vinylsmidoc’s memory lane - part 5
Two Insta profiles from the vinyl community were already obscure when I entered the game in 2017. And with each passing day, they become a little more sinister.
Both accounts were very actively operated, maintained and filled with great content. But then both channels were suddenly silent. And they have remained so ever since. There are many comments that spin stories. I myself have stories in my head. And maybe you'll have one spinning in your head, too.
I'll gladly indulge you in this little suspense.
There's a lot to discover.
I'll tell you that much…
And there are so much more dope and very active profiles that are much fun to follow: carolsvinyl, slayercarito, thethealbert, vinyldaugter, weirdvinylgirl … and so many many more
And make sure to check out #vinylsmidocfriends while you’re in the mood for more good feelings.
Enjoy exploring!
All you people out here, please support the great projects of these precious vinyl community people!
Support the makers and return to vinyl. ⬜⚫
Bye bye and merci bien 🖤
