1991: The absolute top albums from the last 50 years or just soundtracks of my life
Beginning of the Nineties…
I remember watching MTV on a very small screen. I was ten. And everything that I’ve heard and saw was mind blowing. Alone the clip for ‘Give It Away’ - that was something else. And that was pure energy. Life was about to start…
The allure of pop culture began to tickle me. And Grunge blew me away.
A bit later than 1991… I was visiting my fathers sister’s family in Glendora, California 1995 - I was flying alone and it was beyond exciting for me. USA was paradise when it comes to records. I was visiting a record store with my aunt and bought three albums of this list. It’s interesting to see how essential this particular shopping trip was for my musical socialization.
In no particular order.
Joni Mitchell - Night Ride Home
Nirvana - Nevermind
Massive Attack - Blue Lines
Bonnie Raitt - Luck Of The Draw
Talk Talk - Laughing Stock
Slint - Spiderland
A Tribe Called Quest - The Low End Theory
Pearl Jam - Ten
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Blood Sugar Sex Magic
