It's a mystery of music history to me. Three of the most haunting male voices from the 80s have each released only one solo album under their own name. Mark Hollis from Talk Talk, Paddy McAloon from Prefab Sprout and Paul Buchanan from The Blue Nile. All three albums are of overwhelming beauty and carry this mystical grace.

Paul Buchanan's album is reservedly arranged and leaves plenty of room for his wonderful voice. Nothing less than a masterpiece.
