This is why I really appreciate the #vinylcommunity here on Instagram. It's such a good way to discover unknown music. @vinylskauen introduced me to this amazing singer and musician from Brazil a few weeks ago. 🇧🇷 Marcos Valle has produced works in many musical styles. This album comes out of his Psychadelic Bossa Nova phase (I can't find a better term to describe it). 😂
As far as I can tell from listening to some of his records, this is my favourite Marcos Valle album. Beautiful arrangements and very catchy melodies. ‘Garra’ was a career highpoint that summed up his music and still stands as one of the finest pop albums of the era, Brazilian or otherwise. Effervescent pop music at it's absolute best. 🏅
