And yet another important anniversary. Happy 31th birthday to you, dear ‘Kick’. This is what @stereogum said about this album: "Almost every song on this album is iconic." I couldn't have said it better. I was at their last Swiss concert in the summer of 1997, four months before the tragic death of singer Michael Hutchence. I was sixteen years old, the days at the festival were full of excitement, the music was loud and explosive and what I saw from the front row that night was a funky pop/rock show with big hits (of course with all the bangers from ‘Kick’) and a larger-than-life frontman who was the perfect incarnation of a rock star for me. 🎙 This concert had a huge impact on me. I'll never forget his moves, his energy, his charism. 🔥
