dEUS ‘Let’s See Who Goes Down First’ from their third album ‘The Ideal Crash’ from 1999.

My choice is probably not one of the obvious choices when dealing with this record. But this song is amazing. I felt the panic attack by listening to this song with 18 years old before having my first real attack much later in my life. Their music is that strong.

Enjoy the deep cut.

The coolest band alive

I love them since the release of this album here. Back then they've played a gig in Zurich. This concert at Dynamo Zurich was a revelation to me. How this band played together, how their songs developed, the energy and vibe they had. Everything this band did from their early days 'till now still excites me. And what can I say about this album? It's a bloody masterpiece. Every single one of this ten songs is brilliant. They give you something for your body, for your mind and sure for your soul. I want this album to never go away. It will last. (highest note) What do you say?

dEUS were in best line-up - yes, I know what I'm saying. I saw them four times on this tour alone. In Geneva, in Zurich, in Avenches and in Montreux. One of my albums for the island, for sure.

Just for the record. dEUS is the name of an indie rock/alternative band hailing from Antwerp, Belgium. ‘The Ideal Crash’ is the third studio album of the Belgian band dEUS. It was released on March 15, 1999 and has sold more than 250,000 copies in total.

The Ideal Crash was recorded mostly in Spain and is the band's first album to be released on a major record label. Paradoxically, however, it is also the only album by the band that was not released in the United States. In Belgium, it reached gold status by selling 25,000 copies in one week and remained in the album charts for several months.
